Alikhtisar Alsareea for General Trading (“Akkooo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Akkooo website, the Akkooo mobile applications, and any other website or application operated by Akkooo, now or in the future (together, the “Platform”), and to the services provided through them (the “Service”). By using the Platform, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

• Company: Alikhtisar Alsareea for General Trading (“Akkooo”), Al-Tanki Street 611, Al-Andalus, Al-Mansour, Baghdad 10015, Iraq, which is responsible for your personal data under this Privacy Policy.
• Cookie: a small amount of data generated by a website and saved by your web browser. It is used to identify your browser, provide analytics, and remember information such as your language preference or login.
• Customer: a person who uses the Platform to place an order.
• Device: any internet-connected device, such as a phone, tablet or computer, that can be used to access the Platform and use the Service.
• IP address: a number assigned to every device connected to the internet. IP addresses are usually assigned in geographic blocks and can often be used to identify the location from which a device connects.
• Personal Data: any information that identifies you, or could identify you when combined with other information.
• Platform: the Akkooo website (https://akkooo.iq/), the Akkooo mobile applications, and any other website or application operated by Akkooo, now or in the future.
• Service: the services provided by Akkooo through the Platform, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
• You: a person who uses the Platform or is registered with Akkooo to use the Service.

• Account information: your name, phone number, email address and, if you add one, a profile picture.
• Delivery information: your delivery addresses and contact details. If you allow it, we use your device’s location to pin your address on the map and suggest nearby cities.
• Order and payment information: the Products you order, your order history, insurance and refund requests, your Akkooo Wallet balance and transactions, and payment confirmations from payment providers.
• Photos you upload: for example, a profile picture, or photos you select for the Try On feature, which are processed to generate try-on images.
• Information from brand stores you browse in the app: when you browse a third-party store inside the Platform, we read the product details, prices, options and cart information needed to place your order.
• Device and usage information: your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, notification token, and how you use the Platform.
• Advertising identifiers: with your permission (on iOS, through the App Tracking Transparency prompt), your device’s advertising identifier, used to measure ad performance and show you personalised offers.

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account;
• Buy Products from suppliers, deliver your orders, and process payments, insurance claims and refunds;
• Send you order updates and other notifications by in-app notification, SMS, email or push notification;
• Provide customer support;
• Detect and prevent fraud and unlawful activity;
• Operate, maintain and improve the Platform, and measure the performance of our advertising; and
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

• Suppliers: the third-party stores we buy your Products from receive the order details needed to complete the purchase.
• Delivery companies: receive your name, phone number and delivery address to deliver your order.
• Payment providers: receive the information needed to process your payment.
• Service providers: companies that help us run the Platform, including hosting, push notifications (Google Firebase), maps (Google Maps), image processing for the Try On feature, and advertising measurement (Meta, through Facebook App Events). They may use your data only to provide their services to us.
• Corporate affiliates: any person or entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Akkooo. They must treat your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
• Authorities: where required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Akkooo, our users or others.

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage in the app and software development kits, to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. We never place personally identifiable information in cookies.

• Essential: needed for login, the Shopping Cart and checkout. Without them, the Platform cannot function properly.
• Analytics and advertising: help us measure and improve the Platform and our advertising. On iOS, these are used only if you allow tracking. On the website, analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from that banner.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Platform from working properly, and you may lose saved information such as login details and preferences. Disabling a cookie does not delete it from your browser; you need to do this from within your browser. See your browser’s help menu for more information. In the app, you can manage tracking, location and photo permissions in your device settings.

Payments are processed by the payment providers offered at checkout. Akkooo does not store your full card details. We keep only the payment records needed to manage your orders, refunds and Akkooo Wallet.

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, your account data is deleted after forty-five (45) days; during that period, you can restore your account by logging in again. We may keep order, payment and invoice records for longer where the law requires it.

You can:

• Access and correct your account information in the app or on the website;
• Delete your account at any time from the app’s settings or from your account on the website;
• Withdraw permission for location, photos or tracking at any time in your device settings; and
• Turn off push notifications in your device settings.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected]. If we learn that we have collected personal data from anyone under 18, we will delete that data and close the related account.

The Platform lets you browse third-party stores and may contain links to other websites and services not operated or controlled by Akkooo (“Third-Party Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to them. When you browse a third-party store or follow a link, that store or website may use its own cookies or other methods to collect information about you, under its own rules and policies.

Akkooo is not responsible for any Third-Party Services, including their content, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, legality, quality, or any other aspect of them, and has no liability to you or any other person or entity for them. You access and use Third-Party Services entirely at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

This Privacy Policy and your use of the Platform are governed by the laws of Iraq, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Your use of the Platform may also be subject to other local, national or international laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will publish the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform. If a change is significant, we will notify you through the Platform before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the change, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
